Species Account:
I was watching a herd of elk on the hill across from our house in Wilderness Ranch (at the upper end of Wilderness Way road) when I observed a tan to grey colored wolf running parallel to the herd on the hillside below them. I watch the wolf for a good three minutes until it disappeared into some brush and didn't emerge. I think the wolf saw me watching it. The next day I found wolf prints on the road next to my house. It had rained the day before and the tracks were very clear. I even photographed them. They measures 4 inches. I'm a bit concerned because we have a lot of dogs in our neighborhood as well as small children.
