Abstract:

Because of the rapid expansion and development of oil and gas reserves, the authors examine what is known about the effects of energy exploitation on sagebrush steppe-dependent avian species and logical expectations during and after exploration, facility development, and extraction. Case history examples are provided from Alberta, Colorado, and Wyoming.
