Mountain Goat - Hunting Information

Mountain goats of either sex may be taken EXCEPT nannies accompanied by kids.

Hunters must pack out the head and horns. If the head is removed from the carcass, a portion of the sex organs must remain naturally attached to the carcass until it reaches the final place of storage or consumption.

Any hunter killing a mountain goat must present the horns and complete a big game mortality report at any Idaho Fish and Game Regional Office within 10 days of the date of the kill.
