Species Account:
The elk had been hit by a vehicle, the right front shoulder was broken and it appeared that the right knee joint was broke as well. The right horn was unusual, it had a dip in the horn like it had been hit when it was growing so it wasn't straight like the left side was. The left side had a broken tine. The color was brown and darker brown at the base of the neck, normal color for an elk. The front knee joint was split open and full of puss.
