Species Account:
Fawn/tan and rust color on the head and black tipped tail and White mane and under belly. All the sudden I saw a huge thing as it was struck by my cadilac as I was driving on Highway 30 Headed East Last night around 7:30 pm. About 2 miles from my House. it Hit so Hard that my front grill was broken off and the Headlights were broken. A couple had seen it run across the road and saw me Hit it. It was close to 100 pounds is my guess. It was bleeding from the mouth. I allways see cat tracks in my yard and have lost some of my outside domestic cats to them. I think they have even stocked me before out here on the Farm. we just haven't had any deer this year around the farm like we used to and now Im pretty sure that the( Puma), cougar is the reason. I think he was crossing the road to get a Drink out of the Portneuf river. The couple wanted to take it and I said no I better take it for look what it did to my car. So that's when they put it in my trunk of the car. Thank God I was not Hurt nor anyone else. and my car was still Drivable at least. I had just been to the store with grocerys to get Home and just didn't know what to do. My Husband had talked to our son inlaw who is a cop in Pocatello and he had said that you can keep it. But we didn't know that to get it processed Skined etc. We need something for proof that this Mnt. Lion was Hit and killed by auto accident. Can you Please tell me what I need to do next. I also need to report it to my Insurance company. Thank You, Jannie RJ Hall
