Was a fresh roadkill still warm to the touch. Deer had minor head damage, and internal organ damage but was in very good salvageable condition. No vehicles were around and could see now major damage from collision on roadway. Salvaged the animal so it did not completely freeze and go to waste overnight.

Found and salvaged animal at about 12:15 am, 1/15/17 on Freezeout Hill, heading from Emmett to Middleton after bowling with family. Deer was fresh and still warm to the touch in the abdominal area, and head minor head injury from vehicle. No sign of any vehicle, or sign of major damage.
