Sure they are voles but fur is grey, not reddish.
Found 4 dead voles scattered about my backyard lawn yesterday, 1 decomposing with maggots, one in pieces and dessicated and 2 relatively freshly dead. Have observed neighborhood cats in my yard recently, so maybe they are just cat kills. I have no pets myself. What is safest way to dispose of these? Do you want to examine for the plague before I remove them?
