Species Account:
I saw one juvenile wolf crossing Hwy 71 about 9 or 10 miles west of Cambridge, Idaho on Sunday, June 7th. Wolf was traveling alone from north to south. I saw him completely cross the highway and there is no way it was a coyote. I saw it from 50 yards. The wolf was light grey in color and I would estimate him to be about 55 lbs, as I would say it was slightly smaller than my hunting dog but MUCH bigger than a coyote. Also had distinctly large head. The wolf was limping and favoring one of it's front legs.
