- Species Diversity
IFWIS maintains a Geographic Information System (GIS) at Idaho Fish and Game for both internal and external use on desktop computers, mobile devices and online. Our system is focused on the mapping needs for fisheries, wildlife and plant conservation and management. In addition, IFWIS provides access to GIS layers such as administrative boundaries, topographic maps and aerial imagery.
Fish and Wildlife regulation boundaries may be viewed online using the FishingPlanner MapCenter and HuntPlanner Map Center. Additionally, hunt boundaries may be downloaded for viewing in Google Earth, GIS and GPS Devices on the IFWIS Open Data Download Page and Inside Idaho.
One of the goals of this website is to improve the accessibility of all GIS data to the public. Monitor our blog for updates as we work to get more information online in open formats for the public to use.
