Why does the WYSIWG editor keep reformatting my HTML?
Submitted by idfg-bthomas on December 24, 2010 - 7:14am
Although you can disable the WYSIWYG editor (What You See Is What You Get) and type HTML as source code in the textbox, our system will still santize the HTML for output. This is to fight SQL injection, phishing and neon pink flashing Comic Sans 36 pixels high on a yellow and green background. Basically, it keeps our site from devolving into myspace.
If you have elevated permissions, you can change the "Input Format" located below the editor to a less santized HTML. "Filtered HTML" is the default locked down format. "Filtered-Less HTML" allows images, tables and headings. "Full HTML" is only available to Administrators.
