Species Account Note I was working at Domino's Pizza in Hayden in the summer of 2008
(I know this is a late report, but better late than never) when I
heard a loud "thump" on the backdoor of the
establishment. I opened the door to find an adult male Ringnecked
Pheasant lying dead on the ground outside the door. There was no
blood on the body; it may have broken its neck. I figured it either
committed "birdie-cide" by flying into the side of the
building, or it was thrown there after being struck by a passing
vehicle on Hess St (approximately 15-20 feet from road). I salvaged
it for taxidermy practice.
