Species Account Note Between 7-8am this morning 7 elk were hit by BNSF along tracks just
south of the 488 mile marker. They have been feeding on the
horsetail weed. This happened last year also. If BNSF would spray
specifically to kill Horsetail they wouldn't be so inclined to
feed along the tracks. Last year I observed about 25 killed between
Samuels and Elmira feeding on the Horsetail weed.
