Species Account Note ITD employee collected the eagle and delivered it to IDFG Salmon
Region. Bird was inspected by regional biologist Beth Waterbury.
Cause of death determined as vehicle collision. Weight of bird
indicated a female. Bird had deer hair on its beak and talons. No
deer carcass was apparent near the bird.

Location Note Location is a straight stretch of U.S. 93 that people use to pass
slower moving vehicles on this windy stretch of highway.
