Are semiautomatic permitted during the general session deer hunt?
I have a doe tag this fall, and, aside from not shooting an obvious doe with fawns, are there any other visible characteristics to look for when making the shooting decision? My goals are (1) to pick a doe whose removal will be best for the overall herd, and (2) pick a doe that will be best for the table! Any help is appreciated.
The area that I am hunting has a lot of coyotes in it. Last year a shot my deer and lost sun light so I had to back out and return the next morning. When I found my deer at first light, it had been devoured by coyotes, absolutely no meat at all. I still taged the deer and ended my season. If this happens again, am I required to tag this deer, or am I able to continue hunting?
Whitetail deer are decimating our garden and fruit trees despite our best efforts with netting, dogs, and obstacles.
At this point, my wife wants me to kill the deer. Is this legal?
I am 60% service connected and have a DAV combo license. I am confused about whether or not I can hunt for an antlerless deer in area 60A or just antlered deer.
Does the hunting passport program allow a first-time hunter to purchase a tag? Example: my daughter has not completed hunter safety yet. Can I buy her a tag and can she fill it?
If I purchase an archery mule deer tag for unit 32a and do not fill it, can I hunt unit 32a again with a rifle during rifle season?
I used to hunt Mule Deer an Elk below Bald Mountain further the Middle Fork in Unit 27. The hunts was great, but I think that Indian Creek Airstrip is becoming very busy and popular. So, we are planning to change our area belong a more remote airstrip, with less hunting pressure, because wi dont like to see a lot of blaze orange. We are a not a true trophy hunters, so we go to the Frank Church for the experience, having an oportunity to fill a tag.
