Q: I drew a controlled hunt cow tag and an extra controlled hunt cow tag for unit 52A. Can I legally kill 2 cows?
A: You can take 2 cow elk because you have 2 valid tags. The extra cow tag literally means that you can take an extra elk with it.
Q: how do the extra controlled tags work? Can you apply for more than one controlled elk hunt if one of them is the extra tag hunt?
A: There are extra tag hunts offered for the deer, elk and pronghorn controlled hunt draws. They literally allow you to hunt for a second deer, elk or pronghorn if you are drawn. You can apply for one "regular" controlled hunt and one "extra" tag hunt for the same species, possibly drawing 2 tags ...
