A: If you place 5 or fewer traps, you do not need a special permit.  You are, however, required to have a fishing license.

A: You can catch crayfish as long as the water you are in is open for fishing.  Only 5 crayfish traps may be used with a regular fishing license.  If you use more than 5 traps you must get a Commercial Fishing License from a Fish and Game office.
