Back to News Release List
Q. I picked up the waterfowl regs, but I can't find the shooting hours chart.
A. Shooting hours were not included in the waterfowl rules brochure this year. Legal shooting hours are from one half hour before sunrise to sunset. Waterfowl hunters can find sunrise and sunset hours for the area they will be hunting online at: http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneDay.php. They are also available in many local newspapers and through smart phone applications, websites and GPS units. A chart of shooting hours is available on the waterfowl page on the fish and Game website at: http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/public/docs/rules/wf_shootingHours.pdf. Or in a Shooting Hours pamphlet available at license vendors and local Fish and Game offices.
