Water Description Directions Fish Facilities
1. Lost Valley Reservoir Offers anglers plenty of places to fish from the shoreline of this scenic reservoir. Fish for trout early in the summer because the reservoir is often drawn down by end of summer. Travel 16 miles north from Council on Highway 95 to the community of Pine Ridge. Turn west on Lost Valley Reservoir Road and travel 4 miles to Lost Valley Reservoir. Rainbow trout Boat ramp Fishing dock Restrooms Picnic area Camping
2. Old McDonald Pond A small pond on the edge of town adjacent to Council Park. It's easy access for beginning anglers to catch a few rainbow trout. Travel north on Highway 95 to Council. Turn west on Council Avenue to N. Galena. Turn south on N. Galena and look for Council Park on the right. Rainbow trout No Facilities Available
3. Fischer Pond The cornerstone of a city park being developed by Cascade. It provides good bank fishing in the early summer and fall. An outdoor aquarium opens in 2008. 4. Upper Payette Lake Offers fishing in a forested setting. Anglers can easily fish from the shoreline or a small boat. Travel north through McCall on Highway 55. At the north end of town, turn north on Warren Wagon Road. Continue on Warren Wagon for 15 miles to Upper Payette Lake. Rainbow trout Boat ramp Restrooms Picnic area Camping
5. Rowland Pond A small pretty pond in the woods close to McCall. Anglers will find good bank fishing in this peaceful setting. Travel north on Highway 55 into McCall. Turn east on Park and go to Davis. Turn east on Davis (go past the golf course) to Lick Creek Road. Turn east on Lick Creek Road, bearing right to Little Payette Lake. Continue past Little Payette Lake for another 2.3 miles. Look for the Rowland Pond sign on the right side of the road. Rainbow trout Restrooms
6. Brown's Pond Offers easy access to fishing on the southern edge of the McCall airport. Travel north on Highway 55 to McCall. Turn west on Deinhard (first stoplight) and travel 2 blocks to Mission Street. Turn south on Mission and travel 1.5 miles. Look for a large red barn and a roadside parking area on the left. Brown's Pond is about a 1/4 mile walk from the parking area. Note: Brown's Pond is not visible from the road. Rainbow trout No Facilities Available
7. Horsethief Reservoir Has everything for a memorable fishing weekend - a beautiful lake in the trees, good fishing and camping. Travel through Cascade on Highway 55. Just north of town, turn east on the Warm Lake Highway and travel 6 miles to the Horsethief Reservoir turnoff on the south side of the road; then travel 3 miles south to the reservoir.
