1. McTucker Ponds A cluster of 8 ponds surrounded by willows and a few large cottonwood trees located near Springfield. There are many places for kids to fish from docks or the bank. From State Highway 39 that runs between American Falls and Blackfoot, turn south at mile marker 34.8 onto 1700 West (Steiklein Road) and go 2.7 miles to a "T" in road. Turn right and go 1 mile on 1075 South (River Road) to "T" in road and turn left into the McTucker Ponds complex. 2. Devil Creek Reservoir Provides some of the best trout fishing in this region. This typical southeast Idaho reservoir is stocked heavily with catchable-size rainbow trout. Most anglers fish from boats or on the bank around the dam. The reservoir is visible from Interstate 15 and located 8 miles north of Malad City. 3. Crowther Reservoir A nice fishing spot tucked away on the northern edge of Malad City. In 2007, Fish & Game drained the reservoir to get rid of green sunfish and began restocking the reservoir with catchable-size rainbow trout. Crowther Reservoir is located at north end of Malad City. From Interstate 15 take the Malad City exit and go west into town. Drive one half mile to Bannock Street, turn right on Bannock Street and drive one mile to West 4th Street. Turn right on West 4th Street and drive three-quarter mile to Crowther Reservoir. Rainbow trout RestroomsCamping
4. Alexander Reservoir A scenic fishing reservoir with good boat access next to Soda Springs. Both smallmouth bass and perch fishing have improved in recent years.
