2012 Commision Meeting Schedule

The Fish and Game Commission usually holds a public hearing in conjunction with each regular meeting. Members of the public who want to address the commission on any topic having to do with Fish and Game business may do so at the public hearing. All testimony will be taken into consideration when the commission makes decisions on agenda items at the meetings.


   May 9, 10 / Quarterly Meeting   
  • Location: Riggins, ID
  • Public Hearing: May 9
  • Routine Agenda Items: Season setting: Chinook salmon; FY14 budget direction. Election of Commission chair, vice-chair. Briefing on auction and lottery tags.

   July 11, 12, 13 / Quarterly Meeting   
  • Location: Coeur d’Alene, ID
  • Public Hearing: July 11
  • Routine Agenda Items: Rules: Nonbiological for all game animals;  Rules: nonresident deer and elk tag quotas; nonresident deer and elk tag outfitter set-aside; Consider release of bighorn sheep tags for auction and lottery; Commission direction on the expenditure of Animal Damage Control funds; legislative proposals;  Migratory game birds briefing; FY 14 preliminary budget to Commission. Season Setting: sandhill cranes.


   August (Date: TBD) / Conference Call   
  • Location: Headquarter Office, 600 S. Walnut, Boise, ID
  • Routine Agenda Items: Season setting: migratory game birds (waterfowl seasons and limits for firearms and falconry); Season setting: Sage-grouse seasons; FY 14 budget approval.


   October (Date: TBD) / Conference Call   
  • Location: Headquarter Office, 600 S. Walnut, Boise, ID
  • Routine Agenda Items: Ratification of rules.


   November 7, 8, 9 / Quarterly Meeting   
  • Location: Idaho Falls, ID
  • Public Hearing: November 7
  • Routine Agenda Items: Appoint Commission representative to WAFWA. Approval of 2013-2018 Statewide Fish Management Plan; approval of fishing rules for 2013-2014.
