Description: During migration, look for high numbers of waterfowl (Mallard, American Wigeon, and Northern Shoveler) and waterbirds (American Coot, American White Pelican, and Wilson’s Phalarope). In spring, Sharp-tailed Grouse can be seen on leks nearby. Look for Osprey and Red-tailed Hawk (on power poles). A small Great Blue Heron colony in dead trees at northern end of reservoir can be found. The north end of the lake is the best place for birding.
