Restrictions

Harvest quota 20 for the Clearwater Region. Visit River Otter Harvest Webpage, call the Clearwater office at (208)799-5010 or call the 24 hour hotline at (800)323-4334 24 to obtain current harvest information. Season closes 48 hours after quota is reached. Maximum limit of 2 otters per trapper.
EXCEPTIONS:
Mainstem of the Clearwater R., mainstem of the Middle Fork of the Clearwater R., mainstem of the Snake R., from Lewiston upstream to Hells Canyon Dam, and the mainstem of the main Salmon R.: CLOSED.

All areas closed to beaver trapping are closed to otter trapping.
