Antlerless deer taken during the youth general hunt in Unit 70 and Unit 71 are required to be checked by IDFG. Deer may be checked at the Pocatello Regional Office (weekdays 8:00-5:00) or at the Inkom Check station (8:00-8:00 Oct 13, 14, 20 & 21) located at the Port of Entry weigh station. The entire unskinned carcass shall be presented for the mandatory check. We are beginning a new project looking at mule deer in the Southeast region. Information collected from this check will be used to better manage deer for the future.
