Area Names:
Hunt Area 3X*
Hunt areas are numbered sequentially by year and species. The unfortunate result is that a 2010 Deer Hunt Area 1-1 may not have the same boundary as a 2009 Deer Hunt Area 1-1 or even 2010 Elk Hunt Area 1-1. To be clear, always check the hunt area boundary to see if they match. For querying historical statistics you can use the huntplanner, drawing odds search and harvest statistics search tools on this site which do a rough match of historical hunt areas by units, species, weapons and other factors to allow comparison.
That portion of Unit 3 within the following boundary: Beginning at the intersection of Interstate 90 and Highway 95 in Coeur d’ Alene, then north along Highway 95 to Forest Road 206, then east and south along Forest Road 206 to Forest Road 1535 at Burnt Cabin Summit, then south along Forest Road 1535 to Forest Road 499 at Fernan Saddle, then south along Forest Road 499 to Meyer’s Saddle, then south along Wolf Lodge Road to Interstate 90, then west along Interstate 90 to Highway 95 in Coeur d’ Alene, the point of beginning.
