Area Names:
Hunt Area 1X
Hunt areas are numbered sequentially by year and species. The unfortunate result is that a 2010 Deer Hunt Area 1-1 may not have the same boundary as a 2009 Deer Hunt Area 1-1 or even 2010 Elk Hunt Area 1-1. To be clear, always check the hunt area boundary to see if they match. For querying historical statistics you can use the huntplanner, drawing odds search and harvest statistics search tools on this site which do a rough match of historical hunt areas by units, species, weapons and other factors to allow comparison.
That portion of unit 1 within the following boundary: Beginning where the Kootenai River crosses the U.S./Canada boundary, thence east along the U.S./Canada border to the Moyie River, thence southerly down the Moyie River to the Kootenai River, thence downstream along the Kootenai River to the U.S./Canada border, the point of beginning.
