Wolf Population Status 1995-2007 |
| These graphs indicate wolf population growth from 1995-2007. Breeding pairs are defined as an adult male and female producing at least two pups that survive until December 31 of their birth year. Breeding pairs are the unit used by the US Fish and Wildlife Service for delisting and monitoring purposes. A pack is a verified group of wolves traveling together that does not meet the breeding pair definition. The wolf population growth by numbers has increased from 35 in 1996 to an estimated 732 in 2007. |
