Visiting Snow Peak WMA

Access for the Disabled - Access for persons with disabilities is limited. Steep trails with unimproved surfaces make access difficult or impossible for individuals with impaired mobility. No developments exist for the sensory impaired. A vault toilet suitable for physically challenged individuals is located at Bathtub Meadows. In all cases, it is recommended that visitors assess their own abilities before entering the WMA.

Vehicles/Parking - Use of motorized vehicles is permitted ONLY on designated roads shown on the map in this brochure.

Wildlife Observation/Photography - The management area provides excellent opportunities to view and photograph wildlife. Stands of old growth western red cedar and western hemlock provide a chance to see some of Idaho’s less common wildlife species.

Hunting/Fishing - Both hunting and fishing are allowed on the management area. However, because specific regulations for these activities can change from year to year, it is important to consult current hunting and fishing regulations.

Camping - Camping is allowed within the WMA. Permanent camps or equipment caches are not permitted. Fires must be attended and may be prohibited when fire danger is high. All garbage must be carried off the area.
