Public Use of Pend Oreille WMA

Fishing, hunting, site-seeing, wildlife viewing and photography and recreational boating are just some of the outdoor activities awaiting Pend Oreille WMA visitors. Fishing and hunting are the two most popular activities among the estimated 42,000 visits each year.

Wildlife viewing is becoming increasingly popular on the WMA. Areas of particular interest include Denton Slough for western grebe courtship displays and the Clark Fork River delta for common loon watching.
