Handicapped Access - Access throughout the WRA varies. Visitors with special access needs are encouraged to contact the project manager at
(208) 365-2682 for information about areas most suitable for physically challenged individuals. In all cases, it is recommended that visitors assess their own abilities before entering. Handicapped accessible restrooms are available at the campground.
Vehicles/Parking - Vehicles are permitted on designated roads only. Please park in parking areas and/or locations which do not block traffic. For best opportunities to observe wildlife, always observe speed limits.
Nesting Area Restrictions - Part of the WRA is closed to both vehicle and foot entry in the spring and summer to provide undisturbed nesting opportunities for wildlife. See map and look for signed area closures. Make your conservation contribution by respecting these important closures.
Fishing/Hunting - Enjoy hunting and fishing opportunities at the WRA. Remember to observe current hunting and fishing regulations. Regulation brochures are available at all Idaho Department of Fish and Game license vendors.
Camping/Campfires - Camping is allowed in the campground, but is limited to no more than 14 days within any 30-day period.
Build fires in fireplaces or grills only. Never leave fires unattended.
Wildlife Observation/Photography - While enjoying the WRA’s excellent wildlife viewing and photography opportunities, please observe all nesting area closures.
Pets - Pets must be on a leash or under closure control at all times, except for bird dogs during hunting seasons. The release or abandonment of domestic animals is prohibited.
Litter - Litter hurts wildlife. Please put litter in the receptacles or pack it out with you.
Archaeological Resources - The Archaeological Resources Protection Act prohibits the disturbance of archaeological sites and the surface collection or excavation of prehistoric or historic artifacts within the WRA.
