Public Use of Georgetown Summit WMA

Georgetown Summit WMA can provide some spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities. Parking areas have been provided and foot trails meander throughout the WMA. Visitors are welcome to wander the WMA in search of viewing and photo opportunities either on foot or horseback. Cross-country skiing is allowed throughout the WMA except in protected areas. During severe winter weather all or parts of the WMA may be closed to all human entry.

The entire WMA is managed to provide quality opportunities for hunting, trapping, fishing and wildlife viewing. Motorized access is severely limited in order to preserve the habitat and to reduce stress on wildlife. Please take care when visiting the WMA to do your part in preserving this valuable wildlife habit so that future generations will be able to enjoy it.
