BCWMA is a small (284 acre) management area that provides hunting, fishing, trapping and other wildlife related activities. Access is by foot or by floating Billingsley Creek. Ticks are common on the WMA area and can make visits during the summer unpleasant. When floating the creek please be aware that water pipelines cross the creek approximately half way down the WMA reach (see map). You must portage around this obstacle. BCWMA is open to hunting. Duck hunting is the dominant late-winter use when nearby waters freeze. Because this is a small area it can become over crowded with hunters. Deer hunting is limited to shotgun-only for safety reasons. BCWMA is open to the taking of furbearing animals by licensed trappers during the open season declared for the area. Trappers must register at the Jerome regional office. |
