Visiting Rocking M Ranch
Conservation Easement Area

Visiting Hours - The RMR Conservation Easement Area is open year-round.

Access for the Disabled - The RMR Conservation Easement Area has no facilities for persons with disabilities. Visitors are encouraged to contact management personnel to determine which areas are most suitable for physically challenged visitors. In all cases, visitors are encouraged to assess their own abilities before entering the RMR Conservation Easement Area.

Vehicles/Parking - Use of motorized vehicles is restricted to designated open roads as shown on a map available at the Cecil D. Andrus WMA headquarters. Consult with management personnel for specific details on roads and access.

Area Restrictions - Use of motorized vehicles, including ATVs, is permitted only on designated roads and trails. Cross-country travel for all motorized vehicles is prohibited. These restrictions protect vegetation and watersheds and reduce soil erosion. During times of wet weather, users are encouraged to use non-motorized forms of travel to reduce road damage and erosion problems.

Wildlife Observation/Photography - All areas of the RMR Conservation Easement Area are open to wildlife observation and photography throughout the entire year. Visitors are encouraged to use good judgement and avoid causing damage to wildlife habitat or stress to wildlife.

Hunting/Fishing - All hunting, fishing and trapping seasons (with one exception) and bag limits authorized by the Idaho Fish and Game Commission that are applicable to the surrounding area apply on the RMR Conservation Easement Area. The RMR Conservation Easement Area is currently closed to the trapping of beaver as part of a riparian habitat restoration project.

Camping - No camping is allowed on easement lands except with landowner permission. Camping on adjacent BLM and USFS lands is permitted.

Fires/Firewood Cutting - Fires and Firewood Cutting: Fires and firewood cutting are prohibited on the RMR Conservation Easement Area. The removal of materials from their natural setting is not permitted.

Weed-Free Hay - All animal feed brought on to the RMR Conservation Easement Area must be certified weed-free. Livestock should be fed on weed-free feed for at least 96 hours before being brought on to the RMR Conservation Easement Area. Noxious weeds can destroy habitat and forage, reducing the quality of wildlife, recreation and hunting.

Pets - Pets must be leashed or under close control at all times on RMR Conservation Easement Area, with the exception of hunting dogs during hunting seasons. The release or abandonment of domestic animals on the RMR Conservation Easement Area is prohibited at all times.
