How To Get There
The Rocking M Ranch Conservation Easement Area is located in Washington County northwest of Weiser, Idaho. From Business Loop 95 (State Street) in Weiser, take Pioneer Road 1.5 miles to the Jenkins Creek Road intersection. Take Jenkins Creek Road 2.0 miles to Olds Ferry Road. Turn left (west) on Olds Ferry Road and travel 3 miles to Jonathan Road. Turn right (north) on Jonathan Road, and when it turns to gravel it becomes the Rock Creek Road. Travel 15 miles, and a large sign marks the boundary of the Rocking M Ranch (RMR) Conservation Easement Area.

General Information
Mission Statement: The primary mission of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game will be to manage the Rocking M Conservation Easement to maintain and improve the habitat resources for fish and wildlife. The Department will offer the public a variety of recreational opportunities on the area, providing that such opportunities are compatible with the primary mission.

The Rocking M Conservation Easement Area encompasses about 33,000 acres along Brownlee Reservoir in Washington County. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game has a conservation easement on 16,516 acres of private land and it is cooperatively managed along with 640 acres belonging to the Idaho Department of Lands and 16,748 acres belonging to the BLM. Hunting opportunities on the RMR Conservation Easement Area include elk, mule deer, black bear, mountain lion, turkey, forest grouse, chukar and gray partridge. Chukars are plentiful throughout the RMR Conservation Easement Area and are extremely popular with hunters. Adjacent Brownlee Reservoir and the approximately 25 miles of streams within the RMR Conservation Easement Area give fishermen a diverse array of opportunities.
