Idaho Sage-grouse Advisory Committee

When the Idaho Sage-grouse Advisory Committee (SAC) members were originally appointed by former IDFG Director Steve Huffaker in 2003, their purpose was described as " . . . helping all Idahoans, and especially Local Working Groups (LWGs), by making sure they have the funding, support, and information they need to put meaningful sage-grouse conservation on the ground."

In addition to representatives from key agencies, this committee includes private citizens from agricultural and conservation groups and at least one member from each LWG. There are about 25 SAC members and 10 technical advisors.
