During its March meeting, the Idaho Fish and Game Commission set the spring Chinook seasons to open on April 26 in the Clearwater, Snake, and Salmon River drainages. Note: These are partial spring Chinook seasons and rules; the full seasons and rules will be published prior to the season opener on the Chinook fishing webpage.
Fisheries staff from Idaho Fish and Game and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources will share updates on the Bear Lake fishery and work plans for 2025 at an upcoming public meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, at the Garden City Convention Center’s Lakeside Room. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. The Garden City Complex is located at 69 N. Parkway in Garden City, Utah.

Idaho Fish and Game’s Magic Valley Region will be hosting a public meeting to gather input for the 2025 Strategic Plan Update on Tuesday, April 1, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Magic Valley Region office located at 324 S. 417 E. in Jerome, just off Highway 93.
The application period for moose, bighorn sheep, and mountain goat controlled hunts opens April 1 and runs through April 30. Moose, sheep, and goat drawing results will be online in early June.
