Last Day of Fishing

Saturday, June 9, dedicated anglers turned out for the last day of excitement fishing for salmon on the Little Salmon River. These anglers hit the river banks before sunrise and fished until after sunset, making the most of the limited number of days for salmon fishing. They weren’t disappointed. Chinook salmon were on the move and most everyone had the experience of at least one mighty tug on the end of their line. During the 3 weekends of fishing, a total of 459 salmon were caught and landed by sport fishermen and 240 of these were released.
