How to Request Information on Community Ecology
from the Idaho Conservation Data Center
Plant communities. Information on the natural plant communities in Idaho is maintained in data bases and hard copy files at the Idaho CDC. The information includes:
- Abstracts and composition data for selected plant communities (see Wetland
and Riparian Plant Associations).
- Distribution information for plant communities in Idaho.
- Original classification literature.
Wetlands Inventory. The Idaho CDC maintains files on selected wetlands in Idaho. The National Wetlands Inventory has been completed for portions of the state and a status map is maintained at Idaho CDC. Archived maps and an interactive mapper are available at http://wetlands.fws.gov.
Please be aware that a fee might be assessed by the Idaho CDC for providing the information to you.
When sending a request, include the following information:
Your name.
Company, agency, or organization.

An explanation of the kind(s) of information you need.

- General location – Describe.
- Specific location – Township(s), Range(s), Section(s) or drainages (HUCs).
