| Name: Colleen Moulton Phone: (208) 287-2751 Email: cmoulton.idfg.idaho.gov Job Title: IBIS/IBA Coordinator Location: Headquarters Colleen is responsible for coordinating the Idaho Bird Inventory and Survey (IBIS; Idaho's coordinated bird monitoring program) and Idaho's Important Bird Area (IBA) Program. She received a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Studies from Warren Wilson College in North Carolina in 1998. Prior to moving to Boise in 2000, Colleen was involved with several waterbird ecology projects in the eastern U.S., working with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Geological Survey, and National Audubon. In 2003, she completed her M.S. in Raptor Biology from Boise State University, where she studied burrowing owl ecology and behavior in southwestern Idaho. Colleen's professional interests include waterbird ecology, animal behavior, and conservation biology; as well as tinkering with all the fun technical gadgets and software that she uses for collecting and managing data. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, birdwatching, photography, hiking with her dog, and fly-fishing. |
