Directions: From Burley, at junction of US 30/ID 27, US 30 W for 7.7 mi; R (N) at "Milner Historic/Recreation" sign (Burley Trap Club) for 1.5 mi; L (W) for 3.2 mi on gravel rd to parking area on R; follow gravel road along river to the E to access boat ramp and camping sites.
Description: Milner Lake is surrounded by sagebrush-grassland and lined with basalt cliffs along its northern shoreline. American White Pelican in spring and summer and occasionally Bald Eagle in winter can be seen. Canada Goose nest in the area. Migration periods are best for seeing Gadwall, Green-winged and Cinnamon Teal, Ruddy Duck, Mallard, American Wigeon, and Western Meadowlark.
