Site Location

Directions: From St. Maries, ID 3 NW 5 mi; turn R (N) at mp 89.8 onto Hells Gulch Rd; zero odometer; at 0.9 mi, stay L and proceed to Goose Haven Rd; at mi 1.7 use small pull-out to view pond; continue W 3.2 mi where rd re-joins ID 3 at Mission Point; cross ID 3 to Round Lake Rd and drive/bird 1 mi; respect private property.

Description: Swallows in Aug and waterfowl during migration. Townsend’s Solitaire, Red-tailed Hawk, American Kestrel, Rough-legged Hawk, Song Sparrow, Northern Flicker, Marsh Wren, Killdeer, and Wild Turkey can be seen.
