Directions: I-90 Exit #61; S to stop sign; L (E) on Front Street, bearing R (S) as it becomes 5th St and continue 3 blocks; L (E) on Bank St for 1 block and L (N) onto 6th; 6th becomes FR 456 as it leaves Wallace; N on FR 456 14 mi to Babins Junction; R on FR 9 for 5 mi to Murray; R (S) on FR 605 over King’s Pass to intersection with FR 456; L (S) to return to Wallace. SETTLER’S GROVE: 4 mi E of Prichard, you pass a large pond on the L; turn L at sign for "Eagle Creek #152" for 1 mi; L at fork onto FR 805 for 5 mi to grove.
Description: Pine Siskin, Red Crossbill, American Dipper in winter. Look for Vaux’s Swift in summer. At the Cedar Grove, enjoy the sparkling stream, giant trees and forest birds. Winter Wren and Swainson’s Thrush prevalent at Settler’s Grove in summer.
