Directions: PRIEST RIVER/MUD HOLE: from Priest River, ID 2 E 1 mi; after mp 7, go R (S) into rec area. RILEY CK REC AREA: from Priest River, ID 2 E 8 mi; R (S) into rec area. ALBENI FALLS DAM/VISITOR CENTER: from Priest River, ID 2 W ~4 mi; turn L (S) between mp 2 and 3 into dam site. ALBENI COVE RECREATION AREA: from Priest River, ID 2 W 6 mi to Newport; ID 41 S for 0.4 miles; L (E) on 4th St (which turns into Albeni Cove Rd); 2 mi to park.

Description: Albeni Falls Dam retains scenic Lake Pend Oreille and 25 miles of the Pend Oreille River. Recreational sites along the river contain a variety of wildlife habitats. Waterfowl are most diverse in spring and fall. Nesting Osprey and Bald Eagle can be seen.
